Who are we ?

Alto performance was born from the need to source, and make, parts for race bikes where parts supply is limited. Initially this was a Zane era Laverda 750 Formula, but has moved on to many other makes where performance parts are hard to find.

Racing, and therefore testing to extremes, the parts that we produce means that we only use the finest quality materials. The parts we source must be up to the rigors of repeated hard use, as we dont like to lose.

The other added advantage is that the parts we manufacture, or source, are usually stronger, lighter, and better finished that those you can buy for the original bike.

Our Mission

We hope to be able to keep the exotic, the rare, and low production run bikes on the road where they should be. We do not believe that any bike should be a museum piece just because parts are difficult to get. ANY part can be manufactured, ANY part can be replaced, and there is no reason why a hand crafted new part cannot be more desirable than the mass produced original.

Company Profile

Alto Performance is a trading Name for BS Project Engineering (UK) Ltd which was founded by Ben Shaughnessy in the mid 90's.

Ben Shaughnessy has been a professional engineer, initially completing an apprenticeship at Vauxhall, then moving up the ranks in various automotive based industries, before starting out on his own.

BS Project Engineering Ltd has supplied components for most of the major automotive companies, including; Ford, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Vauxhall,  Nissan, Honda, Rolls Royce, and Land Rover.

As a racing organisation Alto Performance now has close relationships with leading suppliers such as; Magneti Marelli, Blue Flame, Rock Oil, Goodridge, EBC, Creations and many others.
